I learned a valuable lesson recently, that money does change everything. Well, I didn’t just learn it, but that it applies to everything. Anna is a professional hair dresser and with that comes professional equipment. As with photography, pro gear comes at a price. I felt that the price tag deserved a proper cataloging. I used my trusty pvc piping and some fishing line to suspend it above the shooting table.
Experimenting with the lighting a little bit, changing gels and the positioning of the soft boxes. After a few takes, I decided on a gel and to use it in order to create a gradient for the background.
Some mild retouching in photoshop, mainly to make the fishing line disappear. I felt that I had a unique image to show for the “shears” as we call them now.
